Singing Bowls

Tibetan singing bowls vibrate when rubbed round the sides with a wooden stick. The vibration is said to create healing energy which can unblock the chakras. Excellent as meditation gongs. The larger bowls tend to produce the deeper sounds. For a really deep sound resonant of the "om" chanting we suggest a 9.5" bowl or larger. The larger bowls also produce a spray fountain effect when played whilst containing water. We can also obtain old or "antique" hammered bowls which we come from a specialist supplier in Nepal. Singing bowls are traditionally said to be made with seven metals, including very tiny quantities of silver and gold, although in modern production most good quality bowls are produced with just five. All our bowls are good quality five or seven metal bowls.
